Contour Is NOT Dead.

Contour Is NOT Dead.

Me on a good contour/makeup day LOL.

Me on a good contour/makeup day LOL.

There is nothing I hate more than to see the words "Contour is Dead" on a magazine or article. It's such a pet peeve of mine when people take things that have been happening in the beauty world literally FOREVER, and turn it into a trend. For example, the whole "Strobing" trend (who came up with the term I have no idea) is just a fancy way of saying highlighting. WHICH HAS BEEN AROUND FOREVER. LOL.

Makeup should always be about what's most flattering for your face. Following makeup trends will only leave you scratching your head looking at your pictures five years from now saying, "WTF, What was I thinking?!" (Me with the "BIG BROW TREND OF THE EARLY 2010's). I don't think I'll ever be able to completely stop contouring, ESPECIALLY my nose. It takes me from 0-100 real quick. LOL. I do think that contouring your entire face everyday isn't ideal and very time consuming for the average person (trust me, even I don't have the patience for it but kudos if you do).

My word of advice is, do whatever is best for you. Don't let anyone else determine how your makeup should look!

What's your favorite contour palette? My fav is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Palette in Medium. Comment yours below!
