Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation Review!
Oh my god ya'll, so it's been a couple of weeks since the launch of the Anastasia Beverly Hills stick foundations and I'm sure you have seen them featured in countless looks on Instagram, Youtube etc. I was a little hesitant to try this formula because I had never used a stick foundation before, but I absolutely love Anastasia Beverly Hills products and thought it would be worth the try. I tackle everything from coverage, blendability, color range and price!
This foundation has a medium to full coverage depending on the amount of product applied to the skin. At first, I was a little hesitant to apply a lot but noticed that if you applied the foundation lightly, it would provide a natural, fresh faced medium coverage but with added layers would provide a flawless, full coverage.
I use a beauty blender to press the foundation into the skin. It is a little difficult to blend the foundation quickly since the formula is much dryer than the liquid foundations I'm used too. Because of this dryer formula, I would recommend this foundation for combination and oily skin types. (The other day, I forgot to powder and after a full day, my foundation didn't move nor did it look oily.) Adding a drop of a hydrating serum to the beautyblender or directly to the skin will make the foundation a whole lot easier to blend. (I would especially recommend this if you have dry skin.)
Okay, so I know you remember all of the campaign photos of the stick foundation on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Instagram page featuring models of all different skin tones and backgrounds and thought "Wow, look at all that diversity!.". The line features a whopping 30 colors, 3 of them being contour sticks and 1 being a highlighter. ABH has always made a conscious effort to cater to all skin tones and I truly appreciate it! I wear the color "Chestnut" to give me a slight tan (I always love a sun kissed look) and I cannot stress how perfect it looks on my skin. Not too warm, not too cool just right.
The price for this foundation is phenomenal, only USD $25.00! Most high end foundations are on average around $40.00, so this is a bargain at Sephora. (If you were starting to get the urge to buy it, this is your reason to do so NOW!)
I give this foundation a gold star for it's buildable coverage and wide color range. The blendability might be the only downside but the low price for a high end formula makes it worth while. This will definitely have a place in my makeup bag for a while! Have you tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills stick foundation yet? Comment down below.
P.S. I will be featuring this product in my Non Touring tutorial which should be up this week. So stay on the look out!
