Jeffree Star Cosmetics 'Regina George' Skin Frost Review
Who doesn't love Mean Girls? It's a total classic! ("If you're from Africa then why are you white?" - Karen Smith) No character stood out more in Mean Girls than the ever so villainous Regina George. Iconic. When I found out that Jeffree Star Cosmetics was releasing a skin frost named Regina George, I had to jump at the opportunity of trying. Let's just say it was soooo fetch.
I've tried the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in 'So Fucking Gold' so I had some expectation as to what 'Regina George' would look like, what texture it would be etc. But 'Regina George' isn't your typical JSC skin frost. Surprisingly it is a lot more subtle than the other skin frosts. Because it is such a hot pink color, the subtle payoff makes this highlighter actually usable for an everyday look. On fairer skin tones it would double as a blush, and on deeper skin tones it gives off a warm, flirty glow. (Warm because of the pink hue it gives the skin, but the product is a cooler tone overall) Also, no matter how many layers you appl,y it doesn't accentuate texture on the skin the same way the other skin frosts do. (Skin texture + pictures = disaster) Disclaimer: I would not advise using the highlighter as an eyeshadow or on the brow bone as it may stain the skin in the orbital area. The amount of product that you get is absolutely insane, 15 grams in comparison to the 8 grams you get in Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfecter's or the 10 grams in the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish'. (And it's cheaper than the latter two)
I give Jeffree Star Cosmetics 'Regina George' Skin Frost an 8/10 for its high-quality formula, textureless finish on the skin and quantity of product for the price. The lack of versatility due to the possibility of staining on the skin may be a turn off to some, but who really can resist an overall great highlighter that will give you a fun alternative to the usual gold or silver highlight!
