Beefs, How To Avoid Them/Mend Them + Kat Von D vs. Jeffree Star
I'm almost positive that everyone who reads this post has that one person off the top of their head who they simply don't mesh with. I'm a big believer in vibes and also believe that not everyones vibe matches with every single person BUT that doesn't validate the need for a beef. When I was younger I didn't understand that and would constantly beef with others but this year especially, I've realized the meaning of forgiveness, maturity and compassion. But how exactly do we avoid beefs with others?
EGO is a huge part of why certain people don't like one another. Sometimes it can be an insecurity, a misunderstanding and plain jealousy, regardless of the reason it is something that stems from the lack of self assurance OR change in one of the individuals involved. Now you may hear this often, "I don't have a problem with him/her, she is the one who doesn't like me", but let's be real, once you hear that someone doesn't like you, you tend to get in the defensive. There is this one person I am now friends with who I couldn't seem to get along with. This weird beef lasted for two years and we had very little conversation during that time but that was the problem. LACK OF COMMUNICATION. Talking things out from the start and sharing your feelings can avoid all the awkwardness and animosity later on. LET GO OF PRIDE. Apologize if you have too, it'll make a world of a difference and really show your character. Trust me, it's lifted a weight off of my shoulders a couple of times.
Okay, this is probably why you clicked on this in the first place but I want to address the Kat Von D + Jeffree Star beef. Now this isn't going to be what you thought it was because I don't really want to talk about them but more so the countless people who are talking about the situation on social media and youtube. (Sorry to disappoint.. not really LOL) People LOVE drama, and it's honestly quite sickening to see how many people are trying to come up and expand their audience by talking about a situation they know nothing of. I honestly wasn't going to say anything about it because I don't personally know Kat Von D or Jeffree Star but had to mention it to a some extent because I am so sick of seeing it everywhere. DO NOT LET OTHERS AMP A SITUATION UP! Nine times out of ten they aren't telling you because they care but because they want to see more drama unfold! (And that's all I'll speak of the situation from this point forward, just an FYI) Mind ya'll business!
On a lighter note, remember to communicate, be compassionate and most of all LOVE. Life is too short to have a negative experience with another human being. We make more noise together than alone.
What do you guys think? Please, please, please let me know in the comments below. Also, comment a situation you might need advice on, I'd love to help!
