Seeing Fifth Harmony on the 7/27 Tour!
Okay, so you guys know I am the biggest harmonizer of life. I literally listen to Fifth Harmony all day, erryday. So I was ecstatic when I got a chance to see them in concert and there are two words to describe the experience, FUCKING AMAZING LOL.
I booked my tickets during the fan pre sale and scored vip tickets to the Conneticut and Brooklyn dates. I met the girls before at the 7/27 album signing at Rockefeller Center in NYC but I was excited because this time I would be able to take a picture with them. My experience at the two dates were different so I'll describe each one individually.
EXPERIENCE IN CONNETICUT:
So I booked a VIP Meet & Greet ticket for the Conneticut show which took place in Mohegan Sun. The drive was sooooo long mostly due to the amount of traffic on the I-95 in Conneticut but luckily I got there just in time for the soundcheck which was included in the package. Mohegan Sun is huuuugeeeeeee, I honestly didn't expect it to be so big and beautiful. Back to the story.. I arrived right on time for the soundcheck where we all lined up and watched the girls sing and answer questions from the fans and then it was time to take our pictures. I made sure I stood all the way in the back because it's always best to go last when you're doing a meet and greet cause that means you'll get the most time but to my luck they had all of the radio contest winners go last (but I didn't mind). It was finally my turn and I greeted the girls and they all said "YASSSSSS" LOL. I was beat to capacity, I mean I was going to meet my favs, I needed to look my best! It was quick and short, we exchanged compliments, kisses, snapped our pic and I was out and ready to find something to eat! An hour passed by and I returned to the arena where Victoria Monet was performing who btw is on point, a true performer! (Listening to Do You Like It as we speak, if you haven't heard the song go do so now!). JoJo performed after and I was getting my life! It was nostalgic to hear her oldies but goodies and we exchanged a couple of glances and smiles (I was in the second row, so I had those moments lol). Once JoJo finished performing I noticed a seat right in front of me which was available so I asked the two girls on the opposite side if anyone was sitting there and they said no, so I hurried and sat there and to my luck I was now front row. The show began and I literally died and came back (I think I'm going to have to upload a video describing my experience because it's just too much LOL). After the show I recognized Normani's mom who was sitting a couple of seats from me, we spoke, snapped a pic and I was on my way out. (Sweetest woman ever) While on the train heading back to New York, I'm scrolling through my feed and while I'm scrolling I noticed that Normani (@normanikordei) had followed me on instagram and I totally tapped the stranger next to me and told him "Oh my god, Normani followed me" to which he looked back confused and said "Congrats.." LOL.
EXPERIENCE IN BROOKLYN:
The Brooklyn show took place at the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island. The venue is extremely new (It opened the week before the show). It was the perfect concert location to be at during the summer because it is right next to the beach and since its half indoor/outdoor you get that cool ocean breeze while still protected from the elements. I was on the line waiting to get inside and was approcahed by Ally's dad who said "You should be doing Ally's makeup!", we totally snapped a pic afterwards, such a nice and humble man! (So if anyone from Fifth Harmony or their team is reading this, I am more than available to do your makeup!!! LOL) I attended the Q&A and was presented the opportunity to ask them a question of my choice. As soon as I got up they remembered who I was and Normani said "Omg, I followed you on IG" to which all of the fans turned around and had a "Who the fuck are you?" face on. LOL. I then went on my way to Wahlburgers, a famous burger place on the restaurant which I LOVED and then returned to enjoy the concert.
I absolutely loved both shows! It was so amazing to see the girls growth as performers and singers! The energy was at an all time high and they looked like they were having just as much fun being on stage as the fans were having watching and singing along. Also, meeting some of their parents showed me why the girls are so humble and grounded! They're surrounded by beautiful, positive people who give them an immense amount of love. I want to thank all of the girls and their family for being so warm and welcoming, it made the experience priceless! I also want to shoutout the friendly fans I met at the show, we Harmonizers always stick together!
